Medium to tall pyramidal specimens, depending on climate and conditions, also some smaller varieties exist. Not suitable for planting beside house foundations, close to sealed pathways or near septic areas. Autumn foliage display, on selected grafted cultivars, is usually spectacular and several selections have striking spring and summer colouring. A fondness for damper areas, not waterlogged, is common to all but once established they easily tolerate drought periods.

Some of the forms we generally produce and stock are listed on Page 1.

Some variation in autumn colouring can occur due to seasonal conditions that the plants may experience .
